Has anyone cooked quiche in the Nu Wave Oven Pro yet?.

Or does anyone have suggestions before I start experimenting :-)

I really need a crispy bottom crust.

Re: Quiche

i've never made quiche before in the Nu Wave oven yet. However my suggestions are
1. pre cook the crust on lower setting
2. then add filling, cover with aluminun for 2/3 of time, and remove for 1/3 of cooking time, for browning.
3. I however suggest you use lower setting.
hope that helps, sounds yummy

Re: Quiche

Hi Patty,

Thank you for the response, especially regarding cooking on a lower heat.
Will try this tonight on my neighbors and let you know if I have any friends left afterwards :-)

Re: Quiche

Hey Patty,

I still have my friends after experimemting on them this past Saturday :-)

The quiche worked out great and I thank you for your suggestions.

Simply put, you put together any quiche filling recipe you enjoy.
Next, place frozen 9inch pie crust in Nuwave on the 1 inch rack.
Set timer for 6-7 minutes and wallaaa it is done.
Remove from oven and let cool.
Next, add mixture to pie crust, cover with foil and cook for approx 20 minutes on 1 inch rack.
When timer goes off, remove foil from the pie, set timer for appox 10 minutes and walk away.
The 10 minutes without the foil finishes the cooking process while adding a nice golden brown to the top.

Enjoy

John
