Re: Roman night

Would love to be in Rome this summer! The last time I was in Rome (2007), I actually got on one of the double-decker buses and toured the city. Not something I would have normally done, but it was a great way to take in Roman history.

Re: Roman night

Ciao Mihir, I think one day I will catch the double-decker as well to feel more on holiday in my lovely town. I think it's a nice way to havea "taste" of Rome in a short time!
By the way I'm the "classical" Italian, because I go around by scooter, so I don't know if it will never happen.
Shortly I will write a recipe for a mediterreanean pasta, but I need more time than you because I'm not so familiar with english terms for cooking!

A presto (Let's hear from you soon).

P.

Scooters

I would much rather rent a scooter to see Rome than take a bus, now that you mention it. That would be a great way to see the city - if you live through the experience. Looking forward to your pasta recipe - I'll definitely try it!

Re: Roman night

I love walking around Rome. There is so much to see, I'm afraid I'll miss something if I'm moving too fast. I've taken a taxi or two, but I've covered miles and miles on foot, and loved every little shop, trattoria, church, bit of architecture, museum. So much to see. However, I imagine a bus would be great if time were limited, and it would be a wonderful way to get one's bearings, and see where things are in relation to one another.

Re: Roman night

Ciao Paola! I agree, this is a great group. I lived in Rome for 10 years and loved every minute. For the first seven years, close to Campo de' fiori, then out close to Divino Amore, where we had a great big orto, peach, pomegranate and olive trees, and even a chicken coop!

Plan to share my favorite Roman recipes here... hope to see yours too!
