%20and%20I%20wanted%20to%20experiment%20a%20little.%20We%20loved%20the%20beer%20batter%20I%20used%20on%20the%20fish%20in%20FL%20so%20much%20I%20thought%20it%20would%20be%20awesome%20on%20veggies%20too.%20After%20all,%20if%20you%20are%20at%20a%20fair%20and%20get%20a%20fried%20vegetable%20basket,%20is%20usually%20includes%20at%20least%20one%20green%20tomato,%20and%20they%20are%20battered%20not%20breaded.%20Yes,%20I'm%20the%20girl%20that%20goes%20to%20the%20fair%20and%20eats%20anything%20and%20everything%20that%20is%20fried!%20%22Fat%20fried%20fat%22%20we%20like%20to%20call%20it%20:-)%20But%20if%20I'm%20eating%20fried%20veggies,%20they%20are%20good%20for%20me%20right?%20Well,%20at%20least%20that's%20what%20I%20tell%20myself!!%20It's%20a%20treat,%20and%20we%20don't%20do%20it%20all%20the%20time,%20but%20when%20we%20do.....mmmmmm....is%20it%20good!!!%20So%20I%20figured%20why%20not%20try%20the%20batter%20we%20tried%20and%20enjoyed%20so%20much%20on%20another%20treat%20we%20enjoy%20so%20much??!!%20Now,%20if%20you%20enjoy%20a%20more%20traditional%20fried%20green%20tomato,%20by%20all%20means,%20stick%20to%20the%20original%20recipe%20I%20posted,%20and%20it's%20perfectly%20scrumptious%20too,%20but%20if%20you%20are%20like%20me,%20and%20like%20to%20experiment%20and/or%20want%20a%20reminder%20that%20fair%20and%20festival%20season%20is%20upon%20us,%20try%20this%20new%20one.%20It%20will%20make%20you%20feel%20like%20you're%20walking%20the%20midway,%20lights%20flashing,%20the%20smell%20of%20kettle%20corn,%20cotton%20candy%20and%20elephant%20ears%20in%20the%20air!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlice%20tomatoes%20and%20drain%20in%20a%20colander%20for%20about%2030%20minutes.%20Pat%20dry%20w/%20paper%20towels.%20%20Whisk%20flour,%20salt%20and%20pepper%20in%20a%20large%20bowl.%20Whisk%20in%20beer.Stir%20well%20w/%20no%20clumps.%20Heat%201/2%20inch%20oil%20in%20electric%20skillet%20to%20350.%20Batter%20tomatoes%20and%20let%20excess%20drip%20off.%20Fry%20on%20each%20side%20about%204%20minutes.%20Do%20not%20let%20touch.%20Fry%20in%20batches%20as%20to%20maintain%20temperature%20of%20oil.%20Dry%20on%20paper%20towels.%20Season%20w/%20salt%20and%20pepper%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGreen%20Tomato%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
