24 Hour Cabbage Slaw

Ingredientes

  • 1 lrg Head cabbage
  • 1 x Onion
  • 1 c. Salad oil
  • 1 c. Vinegar
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Celery seed
  • 1 tsp Dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar

Direcciones

  1. Directions: Shred cabbage fine, then shred onion fine. In a bowl, put one layer cabbage and a layer of onion alternating till all is used. Cover with 1 c. sugar.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil vinegar, salad oil, celery seed, dry mustard, salt and sugar. Pour rapidly boiling mix over cabbage very slowly.
  3. Chill for 24 hrs.
  4. When ready to serve, stir well. This keeps well and gets better each d
