%20the%20gas%20company%20was%20digging....under%20my%20car.....now!%20But%20we%20took%20advantage%20of%20the%20early%20start%20to%20the%20day%20to%20get%20into%20the%20city%20for%20the%20Greenmarket%20in%20Union%20Square.%20This%20week%20we%20tried%20some%20new%20items%20and%20new%20vendors.%20Getting%20there%20earlier%20definitely%20helps%20but%20we%20still%20missed%20out%20on%20asparagus.%20Perhaps%20next%20week%20I%20will%20need%20to%20ask%20for%20a%207am%20wake-up%20call!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20got%20quite%20a%20few%20goodies%20on%20this%20trip%20many%20of%20which%20have%20already%20been%20sampled!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20day%20later%20the%20fridge%20is%20already%20starting%20to%20empty!%20Last%20night%20we%20enjoyed%20a%20salad%20with%20the%20cucumbers,%20scallions%20and%20blue%20cheese%20with%20a%20side%20of%20steamers.%20Lunch%20was%20a%20Bavarian%20Sausage%20sandwich%20with%20peppers,%20mushrooms,%20onions%20and%20swiss.%20And%20finally%20for%20dinner%20we%20had%20Broccoli%20Rabe%20with%20some%20seared%20Scallops%20(heavenly!)%20I%20love%20shopping%20locally%20and%20having%20very%20fresh%20food%20I%20find%20that%20the%20taste%20is%20quite%20noticeable%20versus%20most%20supermarket%20food.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
