7 - Up Pound Cake

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1/2 c. butter flavored canned Crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 c. Swans Down cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • Healthy pinch of salt
  • 1 c. 7-up soda
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
  • Lemon juice as desired for consistency

Direcciones

  1. Cream together sugar, butter, Crisco and large eggs. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Add in flour mix alternately with 7-up soda. Add in lemon extract. Pour into greased and lightly floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 min.Let cake cool. Remove from pan. Mix confectioners' sugar and lemon juice for glaze. Spoon over top of cake.
