%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyhow,%20after%20Kyleigh%20got%20off%20the%20bus%20we%20headed%20out%20to%20Target.%20Note%20to%20self:%20Never%20EVER%20go%20to%20the%20store%20after%20Kyleigh%20gets%20home%20from%20school%20again.%20Both%20girls%20are%20just%20too%20tired%20and%20cranky%20after%20their%20days%20and%20they%20need%20snacks%20before%20I%20start%20making%20dinner.Okay,%20note%20over.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20had%20a%20change%20of%20plans%20due%20to%20the%20fact%20that%20time%20got%20away%20from%20us%20when%20we%20got%20home.%20Kyleigh%20and%20I%20put%20the%20finishing%20touches%20on%20her%20chart.%20(Not%20so%20much%20a%20chore%20chart%20as%20it%20is%20a%20reminder%20of%20what%20she%20needs%20to%20do%20each%20day--she%20has%20a%20little%20trouble%20focusing.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20then%20Nate%20walked%20in%20the%20door!%20At%206%20o'clock%20on%20a%20Friday.%20That%20is%20unheard%20of!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20decided%20to%20do%20something%20quick%20for%20dinner%20and%20then%20we%20wanted%20to%20go%20to%20the%20liquor%20store%20for%20ingredients%20to%20make%20butterbeer.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20addition%20to%20picking%20up%20the%20rum%20and%20butterscotch%20schnapps,%20we%20found%202%20new%20awesome%20things:%20Hpnotiq%20Harmonie%20and%20Chambord%20flavored%20vodka.%20Yummy!!!%20(The%20Hpnotiq%20was%20of%20utmost%20excitement%20because%20I%20LOVE%20the%20original%20Hpnotiq--the%20only%20thing%20i%20enjoy%20drinking%20straight.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20we%20got%20the%20girls%20to%20bed,%20it%20was%20time%20for%20Nate%20and%20I%20to%20hang%20out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst,%20Nate%20searched%20on%20Food%20Buzz%20for%20a%20recipe%20for%20Butterbeer.%20He%20found%20one%20courtesy%20of%20Beantown%20Baker.%20Instead%20of%20using%20toffee%20bits,%20we%20added%20butterscotch%20schnapps%20and%20a%20tablespoon%20of%20butterscotch%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20got%20what%20we%20needed%20together.%20And%20Nate%20and%20I%20did%20it%20together.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20was%20so%20careful%20and%20precise%20measuring%20everything%20out--right%20down%20to%20the%201/16%20teaspoon.%20It%20was%20a%20little%20different%20than%20how%20I%20usually%20work.%20:)%20But%20I%20definitely%20enjoyed%20doing%20things%20together.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENate%20doesn't%20spend%20a%20whole%20lot%20of%20time%20in%20the%20kitchen,%20let%20alone%20using%20the%20mixer.%20So%20it%20took%20him%20a%20try%20or%20two%20to%20get%20the%20bowl%20locked%20in%20place.%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENate%20mixing%20everything%20together%20after%20adding%20the%20hot%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20while%20Nate%20works%20on%20the%20drinks,%20I%20need%20to%20work%20on%20the%20foam%20topping.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20finishing%20up%20the%20foam,%20and%20Nate%20is%20serving%20up%20the%20butterbeers.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet's%20top%20'em%20with%20foam!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20these%20look%20good,%20the%20butterbeers%20served%20up%20in%20the%20movies%20have%20a%20nice%20foamy%20layer,%20not%20dollops%20of%20foam%20floating%20around.%20So%20we%20needed%20to%20fix%20this.%20I%20grabbed%20my%20small%20whisk,%20stuck%20it%20in%20the%20mugs,%20and%20twirled%20it%20between%20two%20hands%20to%20create%20a%20nice%20frothy%20foam%20layer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMmmmm%20a%20nice%20warm%20mug%20of%20butterbeer%20while%20we%20watch%20Harry%20Potter%20and%20the%20Deathly%20Hallows%20Part%20One.%20It%20was%20definitely%20and%20enjoyable%20movie%20and%20adult-style%20butterbeer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20for%20opinions%20on%20the%20recipe,%20if%20you%20are%20making%20this%20according%20to%20Beantown%20Baker's%20recipe,%20be%20wary%20of%20the%20times%20when%20making%20the%20foam.%20It%20took%20me%20two%20tries%20to%20get%20it%20right.%20I%20think%20she%20may%20have%20been%20whisking%20the%20heavy%20cream%20by%20hand%20while%20I%20was%20using%20my%20stand%20mixer.%20I%20also%20think%20it%20needs%20a%20fizzy%20element--I%20saw%20some%20recipes%20call%20for%20cream%20soda.%20It%20is%20called%20beer%20and%20beers%20are%20carbonated...from%20what%20I%20hear,%20I%20really%20wouldn't%20know%20'cause%20I%20think%20they%20are%20not%20good.%20haha%20When%20I%20make%20this%20again,%20I%20am%20definitely%20going%20to%20ease%20up%20a%20bit%20on%20the%20ground%20cloves--cloves%20are%20a%20potent%20spice%20and%20should%20be%20used%20with%20a%20light%20hand.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHope%20y'all%20enjoy!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
