.%20I%20didn't%20like%20the%20picture%20in%20the%20circus%20tent%20sent%20up.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShhh.%20Play%20along%20with%20me%20here...%20Dr.%20Food,%20I%20love%20my%20little%20photo%20tent%20that%20you%20bought%20me.%20You%20are%20the%20best%20husband%20in%20the%20world...%20Ok%20lets%20move%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20Bread%20number%202%20and%20decided%20to%20add%20my%20own%20twist.%20I%20did%20everything%20the%20same%20but%20I%20added%20a%20roasted%20garlic%20and%20dill.%20This%20bread%20was%20awesome.%20I%20loved%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20bread%20will%20most%20certainly%20be%20a%20staple%20in%20the%20house%20from%20now%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20took%20it%20one%20step%20further%20and%20activated%20%22Goo%22%20my%20sourdough%20starter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20a%20sponge%20and%20then%20reduced%20the%20amount%20of%20flour%20to%20include%20what%20was%20in%20the%20sponge%20when%20I%20actually%20went%20to%20make%20the%20bread.%20I%20had%20let%20the%20sponge%20sit%20in%20a%20warm%20place%20for%205%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrettttty!%20It%20tasted%20good%20too%20but%20%232%20bread%20was%20my%20favorite.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20saved%20some%20for%20Dr.%20Food%20for%20when%20he%20comes%20back%20from%20Switzerland%20tonight.%20REMEBER...ixnay%20on%20the%20photo%20tent-ay.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAbby%20Dodge's%20Peasant%20Boule%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%201%20round%20loaf;%208-10%20servings.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20In%20a%20large%20bowl%20of%20electric%20stand%20mixer,%20whisk%20the%20flour,%20yeast,%20sugar,%20salt%20and%20baking%20powder.%20Clip%20the%20bowl%20into%20the%20mixer%20stand%20and%20fit%20the%20mixer%20with%20the%20dough%20hook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Check%20that%20the%20water%20temperature%20registers%20about%20120%20degrees%20on%20an%20instant-read%20thermometer.%20(In%20order%20for%20this%20type%20of%20yeast%20to%20grow,%20the%20liquid%20needs%20to%20be%20between%20115%20and%20125%20degrees.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20With%20mixer%20on%20medium-low%20speed,%20slowly%20pour%20the%20water%20into%20the%20flour%20and%20mix%20until%20the%20flour%20is%20completely%20incorporated.%20Increase%20the%20speed%20to%20medium%20and%20beat%20until%20the%20dough%20is%20smooth%20and%20pulls%20away%20from%20the%20bottom%20and%20sides%20of%20the%20bowl,%20about%206%20minutes.%20Don%E2%80%99t%20venture%20too%20far%20away%20while%20it%E2%80%99s%20mixing%20as%20the%20mixer%20might%20dance%20around%20on%20the%20counter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Scoop%20up%20the%20dough%20and%20shape%20it%20into%20a%20ball.%20Lightly%20grease%20(using%20some%20of%20the%20melted%20butter%20or%20spray%20release)%20the%20bottom%20and%20sides%20of%20the%20mixing%20bowl%20and%20pop%20the%20dough,%20rounded%20side%20up,%20back%20into%20the%20bowl.%20Cover%20the%20top%20securely%20with%20plastic%20wrap.%20(I%20like%20to%20use%20a%20large%20rubber%20band%20to%20hold%20the%20plastic%20in%20place.)%20Let%20the%20covered%20dough%20rise%20in%20a%20warm%20spot%20until%20doubled%20in%20size,%20about%2045%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Using%20some%20of%20the%20melted%20butter,%20generously%20butter%20an%208-inch%20round%20cake%20pan.%20Turn%20the%20dough%20out%20onto%20a%20clean%20work%20surface%20(there%E2%80%99s%20no%20need%20to%20flour%E2%80%94the%20dough%20is%20soft%20but%20not%20sticky)%20and%20press%20to%20deflate%20it.%20Shape%20the%20dough%20into%20a%207-inch-wide%20round%20and%20place%20it,%20smooth%20side%20up,%20in%20the%20center%20of%20the%20prepared%20pan.%20Generously%20brush%20the%20top%20and%20sides%20with%20some%20of%20the%20melted%20butter.%20You%20may%20not%20need%20all%20the%20butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20Let%20the%20dough%20rise%20(no%20need%20to%20cover%20it)%20in%20a%20warm%20spot%20until%20doubled%20in%20size,%20about%2025%20minutes.%20It%20will%20fill%20the%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E7.%20About%2015%20minutes%20before%20the%20dough%20is%20ready%20to%20bake,%20position%20a%20rack%20in%20the%20middle%20of%20the%20oven%20and%20the%20oven%20to%20375%C2%B0F.%20When%20the%20dough%20has%20risen%20to%20about%202%20inches%20above%20the%20edge%20of%20the%20pan,%20bake%20until%20the%20boule%20is%20well%20browned%20and%20sounds%20hollow%20when%20tapped%20about%2040%20minutes.%20Transfer%20the%20pan%20to%20a%20rack%20and%20tip%20the%20baked%20bread%20onto%20a%20rack%20and%20remove%20the%20pan.%20Set%20it%20right%20side%20up%20and%20let%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
