Ingredientes

  • 3 lb cooking apples
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pch nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. butter

Direcciones

  1. Core, pare and chop apples into bite-size chunks. (If done in advance, put some lemon juice on the slices to prevent discoloration.)
  2. Place in saucepan with water over medium heat. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add in butter and cook, covered, about 15 min till warm and tender, but not mushy.
  3. This recipe yields 8 to 12 servings.
