American Applesauce Cake

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 c. Firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 c. Applesauce
  • 2 1/4 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 3/4 tsp Apple-pie spice
  • 1 c. Minced nuts

Direcciones

  1. Cream shortening; add in sugar gradually, beating till light and fluffy. Add in applesauce. Sift together dry ingredients and add in to creamed mix. Mix in nuts. Pour into loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3 inches) lined on the bottom with greased wax paper. Bake in preheated slow oven (325 degrees F.) for about 1 hour. Cold for 5 min. Turn out on rack and peel off paper. Cold, and frost as desired.
