Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

Ingredientes

  • 1 pkt Active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 c. Very hot water
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 pkt 1-layer-size white cake mix
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 3/4 c. Flour
  • 2 1/2 c. Apples,minced and peeled
  • 1/3 c. Sugar
  • 1/3 c. Pecans, minced
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. Butter, melted Light cream
  • 1 c. Confectioner's sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla ds Salt

Direcciones

  1. In bowl dissolve yeast in 1-1/4 c. hot water(115-120 F) Add in egg, cake mix and salt, beat till smooth. By hand, stir in sufficient flour to make a soft dough. Knead on floured surface till smooth ( dough will be sticy )
  2. Place in greased bowl; turn once. Cover, let rise till doubled in bulk, 1-1/4 hrs.
  3. Punch down, divide in half. Cover, let rest 10 min.
  4. Mix apples, sugar, pecans and cinnamon. Roll half of dough to 12x8" rectangle. Brush surface of dough with some of the butter. Sprinkle with half of the apple mix. Starting a short end, roll as for jelly roll.
  5. Seal side and ends. Place in a greased 8-1/2x4-1/2x2-1/2" loaf pan. Brush top with more butter. Repeat with remaining dough, filling and butter.
  6. Cover, let rise in hot place till doubled (1 hour)
  7. Bake in 375 F oven for 30-35 min. remove from pans; cold. Drizzle with Confectioner's icing ( recipe follows) Sprinkle with minced pecans if you like.
  8. Makes two.
  9. CONFECTIONER'S ICING:Blend sufficient light cream into 1 c. sifted confectioner's sugar to make of spreading consistancy. Blend in vanilla and salt.
