Ingredientes

  • 1 lrg Egg beaten
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Apples * see note
  • 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Greated orange peel
  • 3 Tbsp. Orange juice
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. Baking pwdr Vegetable oil Confectioner's sugar

Direcciones

  1. In mixing bowl, combine beaten egg, lowfat milk, apple, sugar, salt, orange peel, orange juice and vanilla. Sift together the flour and baking pwdr; fold into the apple mix, stir just till all flour is moistened. Drop batter by rounded tsp. into warm oil (350 degrees).
  2. Fry till deep golden, about 3-4 min, turning once. Drain fritters thoroughly on paper towels. Roll in sugar or possibly sift the sugar over the tops.
  3. Yield: about 40 fritters.
