Ingredientes

  • 1 c. water
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 x garlic clove chopped
  • 1 1/3 lb red plums halved, pitted, and cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1 lrg Granny Smith apple unpeeled, cored, and cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1/4 tsp grnd cinnamon

Direcciones

  1. Combine 1 c. water and sugar in heavy large saucepan over high heat. Bring to boil, stirring till sugar dissolves. Add in vinegar, ginger, garlic, half of plums, and apple. Boil 5 min.
  2. Add in remaining plums, orange peel, and cinnamon. Bring to gentle boil; cook till syrupy, stirring occasionally, about 12 min. Cold to room temperature. (Can be made 3 days ahead. Cover and chill. Bring to room temperature before serving.)
