Aunt Betty's Yeast Pancakes

Ingredientes

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 c. very hot water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 c. molasses or possibly brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 T melted butter
  • 3 beaten large eggs

Direcciones

  1. Dissolve 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, and yeast in 2 cups warm water. Let sit for 5 min.Stir in 3 cups flour. Cover and let rise overnight (12-24 hrs at room temperature).
  2. Dissolve 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and 1/4 cup molasses in 1/4 cup hot water. Slowly add in beaten large eggs, stirring so large eggs won't cook. Add in egg mix and melted butter to overnight mix. Stir to mix.
  3. Let rise for 30 min.
  4. Pour batter onto a hot, well oiled griddle; bake each pancake till golden brown on both sides, flipping once.
