%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20fall%20back%20asleep%20so%20I%20finished%20reading%20Kathy%20Reichs%20book%20%239%20(Bones%20to%20Ashes)%20for%20an%20hour%20or%20so%20in%20bed.%20%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20fall%20at%205%20am%20but%20at%208%20am%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20wake%20up!%20%20I%20ended%20up%20getting%20out%20of%20bed%2030%20minutes%20before%20the%20yoga%20class%20I%20wanted%20to%20attend%20was%20slated%20to%20start.%20%20I%20thought%20I%20could%20make%20it,%20so%20I%20slammed%20this%20breakfast%20to%20fill%20up%20my%20stores.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA%20Wegman%E2%80%99s%20Whole%20Wheat%20Multigrain%20with%20Cranberry%20and%20Pomegranate%20bagel%20with%20strawberry%20cream%20cheese,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eplus%20a%20big%20glass%20of%20water.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20getting%20ready%20took%20too%20long%20and%20I%20made%20myself%20a%20little%20sick%20eating%20too%20quickly,%20and%20that%20plan%20had%20to%20be%20scrapped.%20%20My%20original%20plan%20was%20to%20walk%20to%20school%20today,%20but%20when%20I%20saw%20the%20rain%20I%20realized%20it%20was%20time%20to%20reevaluate%20again.%20%20I%20would%20eat%20a%20little%20more%20breakfast,%20take%20a%20shower,%20drive%20to%20school%20and%20read%20Kathy%20Reichs%20book%20%2310%20(Devil%20Bones),%20go%20to%20class,%20and%20then%20go%20to%20the%20gym%20at%20school%20before%20driving%20home.%20%20(I%20had%20to%20go%20early%20because%20there%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20any%20parking%20closer%20to%20class%20time).%20%20And%20that%E2%80%99s%20exactly%20what%20I%20did.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20brunch%20additions%20were%20a%20small%20apple.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20a%200%25%20Exotic%20Fig%20Voskos%20Greek%20Yogurt.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20yogurt%20was%20great.%20%20The%20taste%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20quite%20as%20good%20as%20the%20Greek%20Gods%20Fig%20Greek%20Yogurt%20(my%20all-time%20favorite),%20but%20the%20nutritional%20content%20was%20far%20superior.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20I%20drove%20to%20school,%20walked%20the%2020%20minutes%20in%20the%20rain%20from%20my%20parking%20spot,%20and%20vowed%20never%20to%20drive%20to%20school%20after%208%20am%20again.%20%20Today%E2%80%99s%20class%20went%20well,%20but%20apparently%20this%20semester%20is%20going%20to%20be%20very,%20very,%20very%20hard.%20%20I%E2%80%99m%20scared.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20class%20I%20headed%20straight%20to%20the%20gym.%20%2035%20minutes%20on%20the%20elliptical,%20level%206%20random.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20stopped%20at%20Wegmans%20for%20a%20late%20lunch%20on%20my%20way%20home.%20%20I%20was%20only%20going%20so%20that%20I%20could%20sit%20in%20the%20comfy%20booths%20to%20finish%20the%20writing-intensive%20task%20of%20filling%20out%20my%20planner,%20but%20I%20ended%20up%20getting%20a%20pretty%20good%20meal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESteamed%20veggies%20with%20a%20few%20pieces%20of%20kung%20pow%20tofu%20on%20top,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20two%20organic%20chicken%20dumplings.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDelicious,%20and%20it%20gave%20me%20the%20energy%20to%20power%20through%20some%20serious%20productivity.%20%20I%20walked%20and%20bathed%20the%20dog,%20did%20the%20dishes,%20made%20dinner,%20and%20completed%20my%20first%20homework%20assignment%20of%20the%20year.%20%20Woot!%20%20Also,%20I%20found%2015%20minutes%20to%20make%20Adam%20this%20%E2%80%93%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDinner%20was%20even%20exotic.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20followed%20this%20recipe%20for%20Orange%20Peel%20Shrimp.%20%20With%20a%20side%20of%20roasted%20zucchini,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20a%201/4%20cup%20of%20whole%20grain%20texmati%20brown%20and%20rice%20red%20blend.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20salad%20sized%20shrimp%20and%20subbed%20in%20mango%20butter%20for%20orange%20marmalade,%20but%20otherwise%20I%20followed%20the%20shrimp%20recipe.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20end%20flavor%20was%20delicious.%20%20The%20sauce%20had%20a%20great%20tang%20and%20a%20good%20level%20of%20spice.%20%20But%20I%20have%20to%20say%20that%20I%20think%20the%20recipe%20was%20poorly%20written.%20%20If%20you%20decide%20to%20make%20the%20Orange%20Peel%20Shrimp%20(which%20I%20do%20recommend),%20I%20would%20suggest%20frying%20the%20shrimp%20in%20batches.%20%20There%20is%20just%20no%20way%20to%20do%202%20lbs%20at%20once%20without%20overcrowding%20the%20pan.%20%20Also,%20do%20the%20shrimp%20first,%20set%20it%20aside,%20and%20cook%20the%20sauce%20in%20the%20same%20pan.%20%20The%20cornstarch%20remaining%20in%20the%20pan%20is%20minimal,%20and%20does%20not%20cause%20the%20sauce%20to%20thicken%20to%20quickly;%20there%20is%20no%20reason%20to%20dirty%20two%20pans.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDessert%20was%20two%20S%E2%80%99mores%20Cups.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20can%20believe%20it,%20these%20are%20even%20better%20leftover!%20%20More%20chewy%20than%20gooey,%20but%20definitely%20a%20bit%20easier%20to%20eat.%20%20These%20cups%20are%20my%20favorite%20S%E2%80%99mores%20variation%20to%20date!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHow%20often%20do%20you%20get%20Chinese%20take-out?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
