Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour, plain
  • 1 tsp baking pwdr
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar (caster)
  • 100 gm shredded suet
  • 7 Tbsp. water
  • 350 gm apricot jam
  • 1 tsp butter vanilla custard and cream to serve

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, baking pwdr, sugar and suet in a large mixing bowl. Work suet into dry ingredients with fingertips. fold in sufficient water (6-8 tblsp) to make dough leave the sides of the bowl.
  2. Roll dough into an oblong about 30 X 45 cm. Spread with apricot jam and roll lengthwise into a large sausage shape. Seal edge with water and fold ends like an envelope.
  3. Place in a large buttered baking tin and bake in a warm oven 220C/425F for 20 to 30 min till golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with vanilla custard sauce and whipped cream.
