Ingredientes

  • 1 lb Onions, sliced
  • 1 c. Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Curry pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 2 x Bouillon cubes
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3 ounce Sharp cheese, grated
  • 4 x -(up to)
  • 6 slc Bread, cut in triangles and toasted

Direcciones

  1. Place onions in a saucepan with water. Cover and simmer for 10 min. In a double boiler, heat the butter and stir in the flour and seasonings. Add in bouillon cubes and stir in lowfat milk gradually. Add in cheese, saving a few Tbsp. to spread on top. Stir constantly till mix is very thick.
  2. Place toast in a buttered 2 qt casserole dish and cover with liquid removed onions. Pour sauce over them and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 to30 min.
  3. Yield: 6 servings.
