%20I%20made%20a%20different%20icing%20compared%20to%20the%20original%20version,%20mainly%20as%20I%20forgot%20to%20buy%20cream%20during%20a%20bit%20of%20a%20daft%20moment%20in%20the%20the%20supermarket%20and%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20think%20the%20cr%C3%A8me%20fraiche%20I%20had%20instead%20bought%20would%20be%20quite%20the%20same%20in%20the%20icing%E2%80%A6also%20I%20used%20sultanas%20as%20the%20raisins%20have%20gone%20missing!%20I%20swear%20there%20was%20a%20bag%20in%20the%20pantry%E2%80%A6think%20I%20need%20to%20have%20a%20good%20tidy%20up%20in%20there!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway%20I%20digress%20%E2%80%93%20this%20cake%20was%20delicious!%20I%20adore%20the%20regular%20banana%20bread%20I%20have%20made%20a%20zillion%20times%20from%20the%20Avoca%20cookbook%20but%20after%20falling%20in%20love%20with%20my%20bundt%20tin%20all%20over%20again%20thanks%20to%20cake%20release%20spray%20from%20Dr%20Oetker,%20when%20this%20popped%20onto%20my%20laptop%20screen%20I%20knew%20it%20had%20to%20be%20my%20next%20bake!%20Miraculously%20for%20once%20my%20oven%20didn't%20ruin%20it%20too!%20(lots%20of%20issues!)%20Its%20bananary%20without%20being%20in%20ya%20face%20nananana%20and%20the%20little%20drizzle%20of%20chocolate%20icing%20completes%20it!%20I%20also%20got%20to%20sneak%20over%20some%20Christmas%20tree%20sprinkles%20too%20despite%20it%20only%20being%20October!%20It%20is%20of%20course%20also%20a%20fabulous%20way%20to%20use%20up%20neglected%20bananas!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*You%20will%20need%20a%20large%20bundt%20tin%20-%20mine%20has%20a%2024cm%20base%20and%20is%20quite%20deep*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPre-heat%20oven%20to%20about%20180o%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20together%20the%20flour,%20salt,%20bicarb%20and%20baking%20powder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20mixer,%20unless%20you%20are%20feeling%20particularly%20strong%20cream%20together%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy,%20then%20add%20the%20eggs%20one%20at%20a%20time,%20until%20well%20mixed.%20Mash%20the%20banana%20and%20add%20along%20with%20vanilla,%20mix%20again%20to%20just%20combine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20a%20third%20of%20the%20dry%20mix%20along%20with%20a%20third%20of%20the%20milk,%20and%20repeat%20until%20all%20mixed%20well.%20Stir%20through%20the%20sultanas%20and%20pour%20into%20the%20prepared%20bundt%20pan,%20smooth%20over.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20in%20the%20centre%20of%20the%20oven%20for%20about%2045-50%20minutes,%20or%20until%20a%20skewer%20comes%20away%20clean%20and%20its%20lightly%20golden%20on%20top.%20Your%20kitchen%20will%20smell%20rather%20lovely%20at%20this%20moment%20and%20you%20might%20want%20to%20dive%20in.%20But%20resist%20the%20urge,%20let%20it%20cool%20a%20little%20-%20say%2010-15%20minutes%20before%20releasing%20the%20sides%20of%20the%20pan/%20turning%20onto%20a%20wire%20rack%20(will%20depend%20on%20your%20pan!).%20Allow%20to%20cool%20as%20long%20as%20you%20can%20endure%20before%20making%20the%20icing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20together%20the%20icing%20sugar%20and%20cocoa,%20add%20a%20teaspoon%20of%20water%20a%20time%20until%20you%20have%20a%20desirable%20consistency%20and%20spoon%20over%20the%20cake.%20Add%20a%20nice%20scattering%20of%20sprinkles%20over%20the%20top%20of%20your%20choosing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOurs%20lasted%2024%20hours.%20Probably%20would%20keep%20for%20a%20few%20days.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20heartfelt%20thanks%20to%20Betty%20Ann%20for%20sharing%20this%20wonderful%20bake,%20and%20in%20turn%20the%20original%20recipe%20keepers%20Lindsay%20Landis%20and%20Taylor%20Hackbarth%20for%20creating%20such%20a%20lovely%20treat!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclaimer:%20I%20was%20not%20paid%20to%20mention%20British%20Lion%20Eggs%20but%20its%20something%20I%20do%20really%20believe%20in%20and%20I%20received%20an%20electric%20egg%20boiler%20as%20a%20gift%20which%20I%20am%20slowly%20mastering!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
