Banana Cream Puffs Ala Steve

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 c. Flour
  • 4 x Large eggs at room temperature

Direcciones

  1. Put water, salt and butter in saucepan; bring to boil. When boiling, add in flour all at once and stir till it leaves the edges. Remove from heat and let cold about 2 min. Beat in Large eggs, 1 at a time, beating each time till the dough no longer looks slippery. Grease a cookie sheet and drop dough in small amounts, about 2 teaspoon Bake in preheated 400F oven for 10 min and without removing, lower heat to 350 and bake about 25 min longer. Cold.
  2. Filling* 2 c. whipping cream 2 tbsp sugar 2 large ripe bananas 2 tbsp Kahlua
  3. Whip cream (on highest setting) till soft peaks form. Gradually add in sugar, whipping till stiff. Mash bananas to make one c. (I use a potatoe masher) and fold into whipped cream along with Kahula.
  4. Slice pastry in half and fill.
  5. Topping* 5 ounce semi sweet chocolate (about 4-5 squares) 1/4 c. butter
  6. Heat butter and chocolate together and drizzle over top! TRY TO WAIT Till THE CHOCOLATE COOLS BEFORE SCARFFING THESE DOWN!
