Banana Fudge Ripple Cake

A banana cake layered with fudge sauce and nuts

Ingredientes

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 6 tab butter
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 teas. baking soda
  • 1/2 teas. salt
  • 1/4 teas. baking powder
  • 1 teas vanilla

Direcciones

  1. melt together butter and chocolate chips, set aside to cool
  2. In small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, add 1/2 cup sugar and set aside
  3. Cream together butter,sugar, egg yolks, bananas and sour cream, gradually add flour, baking soda , salt, baking powder and vanilla.
  4. Fold in beaten egg whites.
  5. Put 1/3 of batter in prepared tube pan.
  6. Top with half of chocolate sauce and 1/2 of the nuts.
  7. Repeat once more ending with 1/3 of the batter.
  8. Bake 55-60 min @ 350 degrees until done.
  9. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar when cool
