Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Cool Water
  • 1/2 tsp Cream Of Tartar
  • 1/2 c. Boiling Water
  • 3 x Egg Whites
  • 6 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 pch Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Blend cornstarch and cool water in saucepan. Add in boiling water. Cook, stirring till clear and thickened. Let stand till cool. With electric beater on high speed, beat egg whites till foamy. Add in cream of tartar.
  2. Continue to beat till they start to turn white. Gradually, add in sugar; beat till stiff but not dry. Turn mixer to low speed; add in soda and vanilla.
  3. Gradually, beat in cool cornstarch mix. Raise mixer again to high speed; beat well. Spread meringue over cooled pie filling. Bake @ 350 degrees for at least 10 min.
