Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. Flank steak
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lg. pkg. fresh mushrooms
  • 1 can beef broth
  • Cornstarch or possibly flour with water to thicken
  • 1 pkg. egg noodles
  • Lowfat sour cream

Direcciones

  1. Cut steak into strips then cut against the grain into cubes. Brown meat with minced onion and chopped garlic. Drain fat. Add in beef broth and sliced mushrooms. Simmer for 2 hrs, or possibly till meat is tender. You may need to add in a little water to maintain a good liquid content as the meat simmers. After meat is tender it is time to thicken. To do this in separate c. combine 2 Tbsp. of cornstarch to 1/4 c. of cool water and mix well with a fork. Pour this mix into beef mix and stir. Simmer for an additional 15 to 20 min. While simmering, prepare and drain noodles. Serve beef over noodles and place a little lowfat sour cream on top of each individual serving.
