Beef Onion Bake

Ingredientes

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry
  • 2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules or possibly 2 bouillon cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet or possibly Maggi
  • 1 pound stew beef, cubed
  • 2 med. onions, thickly sliced
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss, Monterey Jack or possibly Mozzarella cheese

Direcciones

  1. Brown flour in butter. Add in water, wine, bouillon and Maggi or possibly Kitchen Bouquet. Cook till thickened. Remove from heat. Cold slightly.
  2. In greased casserole dish, layer all the onions. Top with beef cubes and pour cooked mix over all. Bake covered at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
  3. Sprinkle with cheese combination. Bake about 10 min longer. Serve with crusty French bread. Serves 4-6.
