Beef Stew In Wine Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 pound beef, chuck, cut up
  • 1 T shortening
  • 1 toe chopped garlic
  • 1 minced onion
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 3/4 c. sweet red wine
  • Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 c. or possibly more of each carrot, celery, and potato

Direcciones

  1. Brown beef in shortening. Add in garlic and onion. Saute till transparent. Stir in soup, wine, and water. Cover and simmer about 30 min. Add in herbs, ketchup, and vegetables. Cover and simmer about 1 1/2 hrs or possibly till tender. Stir often. Add in more water if necessary.
