Ingredientes

  • 1 med Onion, minced (about 1/2 c.)
  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine, or possibly butter
  • 12 ounce Beer, (1 can or possibly bottle)
  • 1/2 c. Carrot, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. Celery, finely minced
  • 2 c. Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Grnd cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1 dsh Grnd cloves
  • 1 dsh Pepper
  • 1 c. Dairy lowfat sour cream
  • 4 ounce Cheddar cheese, or possibly monterey jack cheese, cut into 1/4-inch cubes (about 1 c.)

Direcciones

  1. Cook and stir onion in margarine in 2 qt saucepan till tender. Stir in beer, carrot and celery. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 min.
  2. Stir in remaining ingredients except lowfat sour cream and cheese. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 min. Remove from heat; stir in lowfat sour cream. Sprinkle with cheese.
  3. 5 SERVINGS (about 1 c. each)
