Ingredientes
- 2 c. flour
- 4 tbsp. baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2/3 c. buttermilk or possibly lowfat milk
Direcciones
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Sift flour, baking pwdr, salt and sugar into bowl. Add in shortening to dry ingredients and blend well till texture of cornmeal. Add in lowfat milk slowly, then egg. Stir till a stiff dough.
- Knead 6 strokes. Roll on floured surface to 1/2-inch thick. Cut biscuits and place on buttered cookie sheet and bake 10-15 min till golden.
