%20we%20used%20to%20sell%20tons%20of%20Bacon,%20Sausage,%20as%20well%20as%20Bacon%20and%20Sausage%20Baguettes%20every%20morning%20.%20.%20.%20just%20dripping%20with%20grease%20and%20fat%20.%20.%20.%20The%20bacon%20and%20sausage%20were%20baked%20in%20ovens,%20and%20then%20kept%20warm%20in%20a%20heat%20cabinet.%20I%20would%20have%20to%20clean%20the%20heat%20cabinet%20at%20the%20end%20of%20the%20day%20and%20the%20amount%20of%20fat%20that%20I%20had%20to%20scrape%20off%20and%20discard%20was%20nobody's%20business.%20Lots%20of%20it%20ended%20up%20in%20the%20baguettes%20too%20.%20.%20.%20crazy,%20crazy.%20Heart%20attack%20waiting%20to%20happen.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBreakfast%20sandwiches%20are%20always%20very%20popular%20.%20.%20.they%20are%20big%20business%20with%20fast%20food%20companies%20.%20.%20.%20all%20loaded%20with%20fat%20and%20calories.%20It's%20not%20impossible%20though%20to%20have%20a%20breakfast%20sandwich%20which%20is%20relatively%20low%20in%20fat,%20and%20yet%20still%20satisfyingly%20scrummy%20tasty!%20It's%20not%20really%20all%20that%20hard%20to%20do%20actually%20.%20.%20.%20and%20when%20you%20make%20it%20yourself%20in%20your%20own%20kitchen,%20you%20know%20exactly%20what's%20gone%20into%20it.%20No%20mystery%20there!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20always%20use%20whole%20wheat%20toast%20.%20.%20.%20it's%20better%20for%20you%20and%20you%20get%20lots%20of%20nice%20extra%20flavour%20.%20.%20.%20if%20it's%20whole%20grain%20as%20well%20.%20.%20.%20well%20that's%20just%20the%20ultimate%20in%20taste.%20(I%20love%20the%20Vogel%20Sunflower%20and%20Barley%20Bread,%20or%20the%20Vogel's%20Honey%20and%20Oat%20Bran%20Brown%20Bread!!)%20Now%20that's%20mighty%20good%20bread.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20is%20no%20butter%20used%20.%20.%20.%20not%20in%20the%20cooking%20of%20the%20egg,%20nor%20is%20there%20any%20butter%20going%20on%20that%20toast.%20You%20spread%20it%20with%20grainy%20mustard%20and%20a%20drizzle%20of%20honey%20.%20.%20.%20oh%20so%20good.%20I%20use%20weight%20watchers%20or%20another%20brand%20of%20low%20fat%20thin%20sliced%20baked%20ham%20.%20.%20.%20Low%20fat%20baked%20ham%20is%20not%20all%20that%20difficult%20to%20find%20anyways%20.%20.%20.%20Low%20fat%20cheese%20is%20also%20easy%20to%20find%20these%20days%20and%20I%20really%20like%20the%20low%20fat%20Leerdammer%20Light,%20which%20has%20great%20oozing%20melting%20qualities.%20It's%20a%20swiss%20type%20of%20cheese%20and%20also%20has%20a%20nutty%20sweetness.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20egg%20gets%20it's%20scrumminess%20from%20chopped%20peppers,%20onions%20and%20a%20pinch%20of%20salt%20and%20black%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%20them%20all%20together%20and%20that's%20one%20heck%20of%20a%20sandwich%20.%20.%20.%20if%20I%20don't%20say%20so%20myself!!%20Oooooh%20baby,%20come%20to%20mama!%20The%20perfect%20weekend%20breakfast%20treat%20for%20sure!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Big%20Breakfast%20Sarnie*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%201%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeautifully%20tasty%20breakfast%20sandwich.%20Surprisingly%20low%20in%20fat%20too,%20so%20not%20all%20that%20bad%20for%20you%20actually!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20large%20free%20range%20egg%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20TBS%20chopped%20spring%20onion,%20green%20and%20white%20bits%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20TBS%20chopped%20mixed%20peppers%20(whatever%20you%20happen%20to%20have%20on%20hand,%20red,%20green,%20orange,%20yellow)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Epinch%20of%20salt%20and%20black%20pepper%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4%20thin%20slices%20of%20shaved%20ham%20(bundle%20them%20up%20so%20they%20look%20like%20more!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20your%20egg%20together%20in%20a%20beaker%20along%20with%20the%20spring%20onion%20and%20peppers.%20Heat%20a%20small%20nonstick%20frying%20pan%20over%20medium%20heat.%20I%20spray%20mine%20with%20low%20fat%20cooking%20spray.%20Pour%20in%20the%20egg%20mixture.%20Season%20lightly%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper.%20Allow%20to%20cook%20until%20lightly%20browned%20and%20set%20on%20the%20bottom.%20Carefully%20flip%20over%20and%20then%20turn%20off%20the%20burner.%20The%20other%20side%20will%20cook%20in%20the%20residual%20heat.%20Immediately%20lay%20the%20slice%20of%20leerdammer%20cheese%20on%20top.%20The%20heat%20from%20the%20egg%20will%20melt%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETake%20your%20two%20slices%20of%20toast.%20Divide%20the%20grainy%20mustard%20betwixt%20the%20two,%20spreading%20it%20to%20cover.%20Drizzle%20with%20a%20bit%20of%20honey.%20Lay%20the%20ham%20slices,%20bundling%20them%20up%20a%20bit,%20onto%20one%20slice%20of%20bread,%20honey%20and%20mustard%20side%20up.%20Top%20with%20the%20cooked%20egg,%20cheese%20slice%20up,%20then%20cover%20with%20the%20other%20slice%20of%20toast,%20honey%20and%20mustard%20side%20down.%20Cut%20in%20quarters%20and%20serve%20immediately.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOver%20in%20The%20Cottage%20today,%20a%20delicious%20Upside%20Down%20Pizza.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
