,%20there%20lived%20a%20woman%20named%20Jenn.%20%20This%20Jenn%20was%20not%20micromanaged%20by%20a%20Maxwell,%20and%20not%20beholden%20to%20a%20tiny%20tyrant.%20%20A%20pretty%20adorable%20tyrant%20(one%20of%20the%20sources%20of%20this%20miniature%20person's%20power,%20the%20other%20stemming%20from%20his%20marvelous%20ability%20to%20throw%20a%20tantrum),%20but%20a%20tyrant%20nonetheless.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20Jenn%20had%20the%20ability,%20the%20freedom,%20to%20use%20a%20fork%20instead%20of%20a%20spoon,%20whenever%20she%20pleased!%20%20If%20she%20felt%20the%20urge%20to%20draw,%20which%20was%20well,%20admittedly%20seldom,%20she%20did%20not%20have%20to%20draw%20only%20what%20the%20small%20tyrant%20told%20her%20to%20draw.%20%20%20She%20could%20draw%20all%20the%20things%20she%20wanted%20without%20argument.%20%20She%20did%20not%20have%20to%20hug%20a%20toy%20bus%20if%20she%20didn't%20want%20to.%20%20She%20did%20not%20have%20to%20explain%20to%20this%20tyrant%20why%20she%20was%20the%20one%20feeding%20the%20cats%20and%20not%20Seth.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EObviously,%20there%20was%20a%20regime%20change.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20like%20all%20political%20leaders,%20Max%20is%20always%20on%20the%20lookout%20for%20acquiring%20more%20power.%20%20He%20somehow%20managed%20to%20get%20all%20seven%20adults%20who%20were%20congregating%20at%20my%20grandmother's%20house%20corralled%20in%20her%20basement.%20%20Like%20cattle.%20%20All%20there%20to%20be%20of%20a%20source%20of%20entertainment%20as%20well%20as%20an%20audience%20to/for%20the%20tiny%20tyrant.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELoyalty%20to%20the%20little%20master%20means%20a%20promotion%20to%20his%20second-in-command.%20%20The%20person%20who%20helps%20him%20use%20the%20toilet.%20%20The%20person%20who%20hands%20him%20a%20tissue.%20%20These%20are%20the%20honors%20one%20can%20earn,%20if%20they%20are%20lucky%20and%20faithful.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20one%20area%20in%20which%20I%20refuse%20to%20cede%20power%20to%20the%20offspring%20is%20in%20the%20kitchen.%20%20He%20can%20file%20a%20request,%20but%20that%20is%20as%20far%20as%20it%20goes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20in%20that%20kitchen,%20the%20one%20free%20of%20tyranny,%20I%20made%20bison%20sliders.%20%20Small%20patties%20of%20meat,%20flavored%20with%20Herbes%20de%20Provence%20and%20melted%20with%20shaved%20Parmesan,%20topped%20with%20browned%20cremini%20mushrooms%20scented%20with%20a%20bit%20of%20thyme,%20as%20well%20as%20an%20aioli%20mixed%20with%20balsamic%20vinegar%20and%20maple%20syrup.%20%20Butter%20lettuce%20for%20a%20bit%20of%20green,%20a%20bit%20of%20crunch.%20and%20finally,%20crucially,%20King's%20Hawaiian%20Sweet%20Roll%20%C2%AE%20holds%20the%20entire%20thing%20together...%20a%20sweet,%20soft,%20utterly%20delicious%20King's%20Hawaiian%20Sweet%20Roll%20%C2%AE.%20%20As%20an%20aside,%20I%20seriously%20just%20eat%20these%20rolls%20right%20from%20the%20package,%20nothing%20added,%20a%20treat%20that%20not%20only%20makes%20me%20happy,%20but%20makes%20Max%20and%20our%20puff%20cat%20happy%20as%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20sliders%20were%20free%20of%20the%20influence%20of%20tiny%20tot%20hands.%20%20Free%20of%20his%20micromanaging%20and%20quite%20frankly,%20bossy%20ways.%20%20These%20were%20a%20creation%20born%20under%20the%20hand%20of%20liberty.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20maple%20balsamic%20aioli:%20Stir%20all%20the%20ingredients%20together%20in%20a%20small%20bowl.%20Adjust%20salt%20and%20pepper%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20mushrooms:%20Melt%20the%20butter%20and%20olive%20oil%20in%20a%20large%20saut%C3%A9%20pan%20over%20high%20heat.%20Once%20the%20butter%20has%20melted%20and%20the%20bubbles%20in%20the%20mixture%20have%20started%20to%20subside,%20add%20the%20mushrooms%20and%20thyme%20leaves%20.%20Stir%20continuously,%20allowing%20the%20mushrooms%20to%20absorb%20the%20butter%20and%20oil%20mixture.%20After%20a%20few%20minutes,%20the%20mushrooms%20will%20brown.%20Sprinkle%20salt%20and%20pepper,%20and%20add%20a%20splash%20of%20Worcestershire%20sauce.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20bison%20patties:%20In%20a%20large%20bowl,%20mix%20together%20the%20bison,%20ground%20dried%20mushrooms,%20Herbes%20de%20Provence,%20Greek%20yogurt,%20salt,%20and%20pepper.%20Form%20the%20mixture%20into%20small%20patties.%20I%20get%20about%2010-12%20%20patties%20from%20the%20mixture.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20make%20the%20burgers:%20Heat%20canola%20oil%20over%20high%20heat%20in%20a%20cast%20iron%20skillet.%20Add%20the%20patties.%20Brown%20one%20side%20(about%203%20minutes%20or%20so).%20Flip%20the%20burgers%20over%20and%20add%20a%20Parmesan%20cheese%20slice%20to%20each.%20Keep%20the%20heat%20on%20high%20to%20brown%20the%20bottoms.%20Cover%20skillet%20with%20a%20baking%20sheet%20or%20lid%20and%20turn%20the%20heat%20to%20low%20to%20finish%20cooking%20the%20bison%20and%20to%20melt%20the%20cheese.%20Once%20the%20burgers%20are%20fully%20cooked%20and%20the%20cheese%20has%20melted,%20remove%20from%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20assemble%20the%20slid
