Receta Black-Eyed Peas with Cumin
I had a craving for Black-Eyed peas this week so threw this together on the fly. It worked out really well. The chilli gives a kick but the small amount of spices keeps the flavor simple. Served over rice.

- Boil peas in water with salt, sugar and turmeric for about 30 minutes. May need to add additional water during cooking.
- In separate pan, fry garlic, chili, chopped tomato and cumin in oil for just a minute or two. Don't burn the cumin.
- Add the garlic and chili fry to your boiling peas, stir and boil for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Top with cilantro and serve over rice
