- 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- For the Cake Batter:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh blackberries, raspberries or blueberries or 1/2 cup raspberry preserves
