My trip to New York City absolutely flew by and I can’t help but wish I had a full week left to explore the city and soak up all of the holiday fun. We really did have the most amazing time and it was so wonderful to have a few days with some of my very best friends.

,%20pre-measured%20ingredients%20and%20costs%20$9.99%20per%20person%20per%20meal.%20If%20the%20soup%20that%20we%20made%20is%20any%20indication,%20I%20can%20vouch%20for%20the%20service%20and%20say%20that%20the%20meals%20are%20truly%20restaurant-quality.%20Our%20soup%20tasted%20gourmet!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMerri%20signed%20up%20because%20she%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20feel%20very%20secure%20in%20her%20cooking%20abilities%20and%20wanted%20to%20learn%20how%20to%20cook%20quality%20meals%20on%20her%20own.%20She%20said%20the%20instructions%20were%20really%20easy%20to%20follow%20on%20every%20meal%20(though%20some%20were%20quite%20involved)%20and%20she%20raved%20about%20every%20single%20dish.%20(Merri%20ordered%20the%20vegetarian%20option.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20dinner,%20we%20stayed%20up%20until%20midnight%20or%20so%20chatting%20with%20Merri%E2%80%99s%20husband%20before%20it%20was%20time%20for%20bed.%20We%20had%20an%20early%20morning%20wake%20up%20call%20and%20wanted%20to%20be%20rested%20going%20into%20a%20jam-packed%20weekend!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUplift%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20Friday%20morning,%20Merri%20and%20I%20had%20plans%20to%20meet%20up%20with%20my%20blogging%20buddy,%20Theodora,%20at%20Uplift,%20a%20local%20fitness%20studio%20that%20I%E2%80%99ve%20seen%20Theodora%20rave%20about%20numerous%20times%20on%20her%20blog.%20I%20reached%20out%20to%20her%20to%20see%20if%20she%20wanted%20to%20join%20us%20for%20the%206:30%20a.m.%20class%20and%20the%20three%20of%20us%20had%20a%20great%20time%20getting%20our%20butts%20kicked%20together%20by%20Laura.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20class%20was%20a%20total%20body%20workout%20that%20focused%20on%20strength,%20cardio%20and%20core%20work.%20The%20strength%20portion%20included%20lots%20of%20reps%20of%20light%20weights%20and%20targeted%20all%20of%20our%20major%20muscle%20groups.%20Cardio%20bursts%20in%20the%20form%20of%20tabatas%20broke%20up%20the%20strength%20portion%20and%20elevated%20our%20heart%20rates.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETabata%20One%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E20%20sec.%20skaters%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10%20sec.%20rest%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E20%20sec.%20squat%20jumps%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10%20sec.%20rest%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EComplete%204%20total%20rounds%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETabata%20Two%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E20%20sec.%20low%20jumping%20jacks%20with%20floor%20touch%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10%20sec.%20rest%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E20%20sec.%20mountain%20climbers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10%20sec.%20rest%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EComplete%204%20total%20rounds%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20can%E2%80%99t%20wait%20to%20incorporate%20them%20into%20my%20own%20workouts%20and%20my%20group%20exercise%20classes%20at%20the%20gym!%20I%20think%20they%E2%80%99ll%20be%20a%20hit!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20our%20class%20and%20a%20nice%20and%20sweaty%20post-workout%20picture%20with%20Theodora,%20the%20three%20of%20walked%20to%20Le%20Pain%20for%20breakfast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20little%20restaurant%20was%20adorable%20and%20I%20loved%20the%20exposed%20brick,%20light%20wood%20and%20festive%20decor.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20ordered%20an%20almond%20milk%20cappuccino%20to%20start%20and%20enjoyed%20the%20smoke%20salmon%20platter%20for%20my%20main%20meal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20smoked%20salmon%20came%20with%20a%20soft%20boiled%20egg%20%E2%80%93%20the%20first%20soft%20boiled%20egg%20I%E2%80%99ve%20ever%20had%20%E2%80%93%20and%20it%20was%20delicious.%20I%20made%20sure%20to%20take%20advantage%20of%20the%20fabulous%20hazelnut%20spread%20and%20sweet%20jams%20on%20the%20table%20and%20topped%20my%20bread%20with%20a%20smear%20of%20each.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20a%20great%20way%20to%20start%20the%20day!%20I%E2%80%99ll%20be%20back%20in%20the%20morning%20with%20more%20NYC%20adventures!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
