%20thickened%20on%20the%20stove%20after%20which%20was%20added%20whole%20raw%20blueberries.%20The%20mixture%20was%20then%20poured%20into%20a%20regular%20crust%20that%20had%20been%20pre-baked%20and%20set%20in%20the%20fridge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%22Rawifying%22%20this%20pie%20was%20a%20breeze!%20My%20blueberry%20filling%20was%20inspired%20by%20Sweet%20Gratitude's%20wonderful%20Strawberry%20Brilliance%20Pie%20which%20was%20still%20fresh%20on%20my%20taste%20bud%20memory.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%22Oh%20wow!%22%20is%20all%20I%20can%20say!%20The%20perfect%20way%20to%20honor%20Nature's%20amazing%20bounty!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlueberry%20Dream%20Pie%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECrust%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EResume%20blending%20until%20the%20mixture%20is%20smooth%20and%20creamy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20this%20point,%20I%20strongly%20recommend%20doing%20a%20small%20test%20to%20make%20sure%20the%20consistency%20is%20right.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%201/2%20cup%20or%20so%20of%20the%20filling%20into%20a%20bowl%20and%20let%20set%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%2020%20minutes.%20Take%20it%20out%20and%20cut%20into%20it%20with%20a%20knife.%20If%20the%20knife%20comes%20out%20clean%20and%20the%20mixture%20is%20firm,%20the%20consistency%20is%20right.%20Just%20add%20the%20test%20portion%20back%20to%20the%20blender%20and%20process%20briefly.%20If%20it's%20too%20wet,%20place%20test%20portion%20back%20in%20the%20blender%20and%20add%202%20tbs%20coconut%20oil.%20Process%20until%20smooth.%20You%20could%20re-test%20the%20mixture%20if%20you%20wish%20but%20it's%20probably%20going%20to%20be%20fine.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20you're%20happy%20with%20your%20filling,%20transfer%20the%20mixture%20to%20a%20large%20bowl%20and%20fold%20in%203%20cups%20of%20fresh%20blueberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECarmella's%20Note:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20my%20experience,%20Irish%20moss%20can%20be%20a%20bit%20tricky%20to%20work%20with.%20It%20can%20loose%20some%20of%20its%20gelatinous%20properties%20if%20you%20soak%20it%20for%20too%20long%20or%20rinse%20it%20under%20warm%20water.%20The%20method%20that%20has%20been%20working%20best%20for%20me%20is%20to%20soak%20the%20moss%20in%20water%20at%20room%20temperature%20for%203-3%201/2%20hours.%20I%20then%20rinse%20it%20under%20cold%20running%20water%20to%20get%20the%20little%20grits%20and%20unwanted%20bits%20off.%20Voila!%20It's%20ready%20to%20be%20used!%20I%20leave%20whatever%20moss%20I%20don't%20use%20in%20an%20airtight%20container%20(without%20water)%20in%20the%20fridge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAssembly%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPress%20crust%20mixture%20into%20a%20pie%20plate.%20(I%20used%20a%209%22%20plate%20with%20removable%20bottom.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20Blueberry%20Filling%20onto%20crust%20and%20distribute%20evenly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20in%20fridge%20to%20set.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20and%20give%20thanks%20to%20Nature's%20abundance%20and%20bounty!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20also%20made%20a%20small%20version%20in%20a%20mini%20pie%20pan.%20So%20cute!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
