Boiled Custard Eggnog

Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 8 x Egg yolks
  • 6 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 c. Light cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. Whiskey (optional)

Direcciones

  1. Mix sugar, flour, and salt in heavy 6-quart saucepan. Add in egg yolks and mix well. Using wire whisk, stir egg mix and slowly pour in lowfat milk and cream. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till custard is thickened and just coats the back of a wooden spoon. Remove from heat and let cold.
  2. The custard will thicken as it cools. When cool, stir in vanilla, nutmeg, and whiskey.
