,%20so%20I%E2%80%99m%20going%20to%20review%20some%20Paleo-minded%20cookbooks%20as%20I%20receive%20them,%20and%20give%20a%20copy%20away%20as%20well.%20If%20you%20have%20a%20book%20coming%20out%20soon,%20I%E2%80%99d%20be%20happy%20to%20have%20a%20look%20and%20run%20it%20through%20its%20paces.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUPDATE:%20Congratulations%20to%20Molly%20D.%20from%20Houston,%20TX,%20who%20won%20the%20giveaway.%20Thanks%20to%20everyone%20for%20participating!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99m%20really%20excited%20about%20Gather:%20The%20Art%20of%20Paleo%20Entertaining,%20which%20releases%20next%20week.%20Personally,%20I%20think%20it%20is%20a%20huge%20step%20forward%20in%20the%20Paleo%20cooking%20world.%20Not%20only%20have%20Bill%20Staley%20and%20Hayley%20Mason%20created%20some%20really%20tasty%20recipes,%20they%E2%80%99ve%20upped%20the%20bar%20in%20terms%20of%20presentation%20and%20thoughtfulness.%20This%20is%20the%20first%20Paleo%20cookbook%20I%E2%80%99ve%20seen%20that%20I%20think%20can%20stand%20toe-to-toe%20with%20the%20best%20non-Paleo%20cookbooks%20coming%20out%20this%20year.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20son%20Oliver%20searching%20frantically%20for%20a%20picture%20of%20his%20face%20in%20the%20book%20%E2%80%93%20it%E2%80%99s%20on%20page%2011!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20book%20is%20divided%20into%20several%20sections%20based%20on%20seasons%20and%20events,%20covering%20everything%20from%20a%20backyard%20picnic%20to%20Thanksgiving%20feast.%20We%20were%20on%20hand%20for%20their%20Halloween-themed%20dinner%20and%20photoshoot%20(%E2%80%9CSpooky%20Supper%E2%80%9D),%20and%20Bill%20and%20Hayley%20were%20total%20pros%20both%20in%20the%20kitchen%20and%20in%20arranging%20and%20shooting%20the%20delicious%20meal.%20Each%20meal%20set%20has%20a%20%E2%80%9Cshopping%20and%20preparation%E2%80%9D%20section%20that%20allows%20the%20host%20to%20better%20prepare%20for%20the%20big%20event;%20one%20of%20my%20favorite%20things%20about%20this%20book%20is%20that%20it%20makes%20it%20easy%20for%20people%20to%20show%20off%20the%20Paleo%20diet%20to%20loved%20ones,%20and%20with%20style.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20photography%20is%20downright%20beautiful%20%E2%80%93%20bright,%20vibrant,%20and%20perfectly%20attuned%20to%20each%20setting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%E2%80%99ve%20tried%20a%20couple%20of%20the%20recipes%20now,%20and%20I%E2%80%99ve%20been%20very%20impressed%20by%20how%20much%20their%20cooking%20has%20matured%20since%20Make%20it%20Paleo,%20their%20last%20book.%20The%20recipes%20are%20balanced,%20comprehensive,%20and%20simple%20%E2%80%93%20but%20there%20are%20still%20some%20dishes%20in%20there%20that%20are%20perfect%20for%20Paleo%20readers%20that%20are%20up%20for%20the%20occasional%20challenge.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20dish%20in%20particular%20that%20we%20liked%20(and%20has%20been%20getting%20a%20lot%20of%20buzz)%20is%20their%20General%20Tso%E2%80%99s%20Chicken,%20which%20is%20part%20of%20the%20%E2%80%9CTakeout%20Fake-out%E2%80%9D%20meal.%20They%20nailed%20an%20authentic-tasting%20sauce%20using%20everyday%20ingredients%20%E2%80%93%20a%20feat%20in%20and%20of%20itself.%20We%20forgot%20to%20buy%20spring%20onions%20for%20the%20recipe,%20so%20they%E2%80%99re%20%E2%80%9Cinvisible%E2%80%9D%20in%20the%20picture%20above.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20to%20celebrate%20the%20release%20of%20this%20book,%20I%E2%80%99m%20giving%20away%20a%20copy%20of%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHere%E2%80%99s%20how%20to%20enter%20the%20giveaway:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20giveaway%20ends%20midnight%20Saturday,%20April%2027th%20(EST),%20and%20I%20will%20select%20a%20winner%20using%20a%20random%20number%20generator%20on%20Sunday,%20and%20mail%20the%20book%20out%20on%20Monday.%20Good%20luck!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGiveaway%20restricted%20to%20US%20and%20Canadian%20residents.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELike%20Loading...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
