Ingredientes

  • 1 pound pinto beans or possibly northern beans
  • 1 pound split peas
  • 12 c. water
  • 1 lg. onion, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 8 c. tomato juice
  • Ham hock and diced ham
  • 2 tbsp. chili pwdr
  • 1 green pepper, diced

Direcciones

  1. Soak beans and peas in water for 5 hrs. Add in the rest of the ingredients to beans and simmer 3 hrs minimum.
