Ingredientes

  • 10 lb Small crisp cucumbers
  • 1 1/4 c. Salt
  • 15 c. Cool water
  • 1 1/2 lb Small onions
  • 6 c. Vinegar
  • 5 c. Sugar
  • 3 tsp Celery seed, (up to 4)
  • 8 tsp Mustard seed
  • 3 x - 4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 x Sp tumeric
  • 1/2 tsp Mace
  • 1 dsh Red pepper

Direcciones

  1. Wash and scrub cucumbers. Cut into 1/4 inch slices. Put into kettle.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and add in water. Cove and let stand 24 hrs. Drain 10 - 15 min. Put into kettle. Add in onions, peeled and sliced thinly, then vinegar, sugar and spices. Heat to boiling. Simmer 2 - 3 min. Pack into warm sterilized jars. Seal.
