Receta Breakfast Bowls with Gluten Free Hollandaise
by Abisaac Saraga

I was first introduced to the breakfast bowl concept when I moved here to Edmonton and Amanda took me to Ricky's All Day Grill for the first time. A place we don't eat at often anymore since her Celiac Diagnosis.

So I wanted to bring Ricky's All Day Grill to our home and make one of our favourite breakfast meals, the Breakfast Bowl. The breakfast bowl is layers of breakfast goodness in a bowl with potatoes, meat, eggs, cheese and hollandaise sauce. Really the only tricky part about making these at home is the hollandaise sauce.

Lucky for us, we know that Sobey's sells Mayacamas sauce mixes which are gluten free, including their hollandaise sauce. The rest is pretty easy to pick up naturally gluten free.

So what is needed exactly for a breakfast for 2?

Ingredients:

Directions:

This is where I make a mess! Because I look to cook everything separately so I can easily layer everything.

Make sure the potato is diced up into small pieces. Heat up some oil in a pan and start to cook. Season with salt and pepper. This should take about 10 minutes on a low to medium heat. The potato tends to take the longest.

Once you have the potato going, Chop up the sausage and start to cook in another pan. This should cook fairly quickly

Get started on the sauce and follow the instructions

Beat the three eggs and have it ready and waiting for when the sausage is completed.

Grate two handfulls of cheddar cheese.

Grab two bowls to start plating.

even distribute the potato into the two bowls

Toss with seasoning salt if you want

Layer the meat about 1 cup per bowl.

While the pan is still hot, throw on the eggs, this should cook fairly quickly

Distribute the egg evenly to both bowls

Add hollandaise sauce

Top with cheddar cheese!

Mmmmmmmmm so good!
