.%20%20I%20will%20spend%20the%20next%20two%20years%20following%20my%20dreams%20and%20studying%20to%20become%20a%20Sign%20Language%20Interpreter!%20%20:)%20%20:)%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo....on%20to%20baking!%20%20I%20actually%20baked%20these%20cookies%20for%20one%20of%20our%20lunchtime%20gatherings%20at%20school.%20%20They%20are%20brown%20butter%20cookies%20with%20chopped%20up%20rolos%20and%20toffee%20and%20chocolate%20chips!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20seen%20tons%20of%20recipes%20for%20brown%20butter%20this%20and%20brown%20butter%20that%20and%20I%20finally%20decided%20I%20needed%20to%20see%20what%20all%20of%20the%20fuss%20was%20all%20about.%20%20They%20were%20all%20correct....brown%20butter%20ROCKS!!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20a%20big%20fan%20of%20all%20things%20caramel%20and%20nutty%20and%20rich;%20and%20browning%20your%20butter%20helps%20achieve%20those%20flavors.%20%20The%20other%20plus,%20besides%20the%20fabulous%20flavor,%20is%20that%20it%20is%20very%20easy%20to%20brown%20butter%20and%20you%20can%20make%20this%20change%20to%20pretty%20much%20any%20recipe!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20my%20regular%20chocolate%20chip%20cookies%20recipe%20and%20browned%20the%20butter,%20then%20I%20added%20some%20chopped%20up%20candy%20to%20make%20it%20even%20more%20special.%20%20Seriously,%20who%20doesn't%20LOVE%20toffee?%20%20The%20rolos%20were%20my%20whimsical%20addition,%20mostly%20because%20I%20haven't%20had%20a%20rolo%20in%20years%20and%20I%20really%20wanted%20to%20eat%20them!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20a%20really%20easy%20recipe,%20but%20watch%20your%20butter%20closely!%20%20It%20takes%20a%20while%20to%20brown%20but%20once%20it%20starts%20turning%20colors,%20it%20goes%20fast%20and%20if%20you%20aren't%20watching%20it%20can%20burn.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy!!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrown%20Butter%20Cookies%20with%20Rolos%20and%20Toffee%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPre-heat%20your%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20two%20stick%20butter%20in%20a%20large%20saucepan%20over%20medium%20heat.%20When%20the%20butter%20starts%20foaming,%20whisk%20vigorously,%20and%20continue%20whisking%20until%20the%20butter%20turns%20brown%20and%20there%20are%20little%20bits%20on%20the%20bottom%20of%20the%20saucepan.%20Remove%20the%20butter%20from%20heat%20and%20pour%20it%20into%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl%20and%20allow%20it%20to%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20separate%20bowl,%20combine%20flour,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20the%20cooled%20brown%20butter,%20add%20in%20the%20sugars.%20Mix%20for%20several%20minutes%20until%20the%20butter%20and%20sugars%20are%20well%20combined.%20%20Add%20in%20the%20eggs%20and%20vanilla,%20and%20mix%20well.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESlowly%20add%20the%20dry%20ingredients%20into%20the%20wet%20and%20mix%20until%20combined.%20Fold%20in%20the%20chopped%20candies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELine%20baking%20sheets%20with%20parchment%20paper.%20Use%20a%20heaping%20tablespoon%20of%20cookie%20dough%20for%20each%20cookie.%20Bake%20for%2010%20minutes,%20or%20until%20the%20edges%20of%20the%20cookies%20are%20just%20starting%20to%20brown.%20%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20allow%20to%20cool%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20minutes%20before%20transfering%20the%20cookies%20to%20wire%20cooling%20racks.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20shared%20on:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETumbleweed%20Contessa%20-%20What'd%20You%20Do%20This%20Weekend%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFood%20Frenzy%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChocolate,%20Chocolate%20and%20More%20-%20Thursday's%20Treasures%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
