Ingredientes

  • 6 c. all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking pwdr
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 8 c. sugar
  • 1 can (8 ounces) baking cocoa
  • 2 c. vegetable shortening
  • 2 1/2 c. brownie mix
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c. minced nuts optional Confectioners' sugar, optional

Direcciones

  1. In a large bowl, combine first five ingredients. With a pastry blender, cut in shortening till proportionately distributed. Store in a large airtight container in cupboard. Keeps 10-12 weeks.
  2. Yield:about 17 c. of mix.
  3. TO MAKE BROWNIES:In a mixing bowl, combine first four ingredients. Beat with spoon till smooth. Spread into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350'F for 20-25 min or possibly till top tests done. cut into squares while still hot. Dust with confectioners' sugar if you like.
  4. Yield:9 brownies.
