- Step 1: In a 10-inch nonstick skillet, heat the butter over moderate heat. Add in half of the Canadian-style bacon and cook for 1 minute on each side or possibly till lightly browned. Remove bacon. Repeat with remaining bacon. Return all of the bacon to the skillet.
- Step 2: Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the honey, orange juice, orange rind, mustard, and pepper. Pour over bacon. Bring just to a boil. Lower the heat slightly and cook, uncovered, for 5 min or possibly till the honey mix is of glaze consistency.
- Step 3: Transfer bacon to plate. Spoon honey mix on top. Serve with warm cooked rice.
- NOTE: Made from smoked pork loin, Canadian-style bacon is closer in taste and texture to ham than bacon. You can purchase it presliced, but for best results, buy a chunk from the butcher and cut it yourself.
