- Sift all dry ingredients together, add in large eggs, beating well after each addition. Stir in melted butter and vanilla.Mix dough by hand till it holds together. Add in a little lowfat milk or possibly anisette if dough is hard or possibly dry.
- Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead till smooth.
- Grease and flour a tube pan or possibly small square pan. Spread dough in a pan and brush with a mix of reserved egg and sugar.
- Bake at 375F for 35 min or possibly till brown. Remove from pan and brush top with melted butter.
