%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk%20ok...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20am%20lucky%20because%20my%20pal%20Sharon%20Miro%20actually%20went%20to%20Mynaburma%20(hey,%20that%20is%20a%20compromise)...does%20Burmyn%20work%20better?%20Shit,%20I%20digressed%20again...anyhow%20I%20asked%20her%20to%20bring%20me%20fermented%20tea%20leaves.%20She%20did!%20She%20is%20the%20best.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20is%20really%20no%20cooking%20involved.%20It%20is%20just%20an%20easy%20and%20amazing%20salad.%20I%20didn't%20really%20use%20a%20recipe.%20I%20just%20read%20up%20on%20the%20salad%20and%20based%20it%20on%20the%20one%20I%20loved%20so%20much%20at%20Burma%20Superstar%20in%20Northern%20California.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20salad%20is%20so%20simple%20but%20so%20balanced%20that%20it%20is%20a%20treat%20to%20the%20tastebuds.%20It%20is%20also%20a%20delight%20in%20the%20fact%20that%20it%20crunches%20in%20just%20the%20right%20way.%20It%20is%20balanced.%20It%20is%20Zen.%20It%20is%20other%20adjectives%20but%20I%20am%20boring%20even%20me.%20I%20will%20give%20you%20instructions%20for%20the%20salad%20but%20first%20let%20me%20come%20clean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20a%20soup%20to%20go%20with%20this%20salad.%20A%20catfish%20soup%20with%20banana%20flower,%20egg,%20and%20a%20catfish.%20All%20of%20it%20swimming%20around%20in%20a%20tumeric(ie)%20broth.%20EWWWWW.%20I%20know%20this%20will%20be%20the%20next%20big%20%22thing%22.%20Afterall%20pig%20snout%20made%20it%20big.%20Everyone%20is%20all:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone:%20%22We%20went%20to%20a%20fabulous%20new%20restaurant%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone's%20friend:%20Oh%20yeah?%20What%20is%20the%20name%20of%20it?%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone:%20%22Catfish%20Soup%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone's%20friend:%20%22What%20did%20you%20have?%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone:%20%22A%20phenomenal%20Catfish%20soup%20with%20Catfish%20swimming%20around%20in%20a%20Tumeric(ie)%20broth.%20We%20also%20had%20an%20equally%20pretentious%20cocktail%20to%20go%20with%20it%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone's%20friend:%20%22Oooooh,%20blog%20about%20it!%22%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk%20ok,%20so%20you%20get%20the%20point.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYeah.%20So,%20NOT%20good.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAction%20shot%20of%20Rich%20obliterating%20stew%20beef.%20You%20heard%20me%20right.%20This%20dish%20of%20obliterated%20meat%20would%20have%20been%20good%20if:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EA)%20Meat%20was%20not%20as%20dried%20out%20as%20a%20piece%20of%20beef%20jerky%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EB)%20Someone%20(no,%20not%20ME)%20hadn't%20used%20Tablespoons%20of%20salt%20instead%20of%20teaspoons.%20Not%20mentioning%20any%20names%20Dr.%20Food.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E((cough))%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E((Gag))%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20you%20ready%20for%20more?%20There%20was%20my%20Valentines%20fiasco.%20I%20boiled%20a%20lobster%20and%20made%20seafood%20stock%20out%20of%20the%20shells.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EReally%20an%20experience.%20I%20swear%20I%20heard%20the%20scream.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20seafood%20risotto%20was%20fantastic.%20I%20loved%20it%20and%20more%20importantly%20Dr.%20Food%20loved%20it.%20It%20stuck%20in%20my%20craw%20that%20I%20got%20the%20recipe%20from%20Martha%20Stewart%20but%20Martha%20came%20through%20on%20this%20one.%20She%20didn't%20even%20have%20me%20make%20a%20centerpiece%20out%20of%20the%20antenna%20of%20the%20lobster.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOk,%20that%20is%20all.%20Don't%20make%20the%20soup.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFermented%20Tea%20Leaf%20Salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFill%20a%20large%20bowl%20with%20ice%20water,%20and%20set%20aside.%20Fill%20a%20large%20stockpot%20three-quarters%20full%20with%20cold%20water.%20Bring%20to%20a%20boil,%20and%20add%201/4%20cup%20salt.%20Plunge%20lobsters%20head%20first%20into%20water.%20Return%20to%20a%20boil,%20and%20cook%20for%203%20minutes%20(meat%20will%20not%20be%20fully%20cooked).%20Using%20tongs,%20transfer%20lobsters%20to%20ice%20water,%20and%20let%20cool%20for%205%20minutes.%20Place%20lobsters%20on%20a%20cutting%20board.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUsing%20a%20kitchen%20towel%20to%20protect%20your%20hands,%20twist%20off%20tail%20and%20claws;%20discard%20body.%20Twist%20fan%20off%20end%20of%20tail,%20and%20push%20meat%20out%20of%20shell.%20(Alternatively,%20use%20kitchen%20shears%20to%20cut%20up%20length%20of%20tail,%20and%20pull%20shell%20away%20from%20meat.)%20Cut%20tail%20in%20half%20lengthwise,%20and%20then%20crosswise.%20Transfer%20tail%20meat%20to%20a%20plate%20lined%20with%20paper%20towels.%20Separate%20claws%20from%20knuckles;%20twist%20and%20pull%20off%20pincers.%20With%20back%20of%20knife,%20crack%20knuckle%20end%20of%20claw.%20Gently%20remove%20whole%20piece%20of%20meat,%20and%20add%20to%20plate.%20Crack%20knuckle,%20remove%20meat%20from%20shell,%20and%20add%20to%20plate.%20Wipe%20any%20white%20residue%20off%20meat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20clams%20and%20mussels%20in%20a%20large%20skillet%20or%20pot,%20and%20add%202%20inches%20of%20water.%20Cover%20skillet,%20and%20bring%20to%20a%20simmer%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20Cook%20until%20clams%20and%20mussels%20have%20opened,%204%20to%205%20minutes.%20Discard%20any%20that%20remain%20closed.%20Using%20a%20slotted%20spo
