Ingredientes

  • 1 Tbsp. Dry chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. Onion pwdr
  • 2 tsp Dry thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Grnd allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Coarsely grnd black pepper
  • 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper To 1 tsp.
  • 1/4 c. Snipped chives
  • 1/2 c. Finely minced onion
  • 4 Tbsp. Lime juice
  • 2 tsp warm pepper sauce To 3 tsp. optional
  • 1 Tbsp. oil

Direcciones

  1. In a blender or possibly food processor, combine the dry onion, onion pwdr, thyme, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, sugar, black pepper, cayenne, chives, minced onion, lime juice and pepper sauce. Blend to a thick paste. (If using skinless chicken, add in the oil to the paste.)
  2. Rub the paste over the chicken, cover and chill overnight.
  3. Grill the chicken - don't remove the spice paste before grilling.
  4. Note: Makes sufficient for 3 1/2 pound cut up chicken, or possibly 4 large chicken breast halves, skin removed.
