Ingredientes

  • 2 stk unsalted butter, at room temperature, (1 c.)
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 2 x Large eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp Grated lemon rind
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Walnuts, fine-minced
  • 12 x Candied cherries, halved (to 15)

Direcciones

  1. MAKES 24 TO 36 COOKIES
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter; add in the sugar gradually, beating well.
  3. Add in the egg yolks and rind and beat till fluffy. Stir in half the flour.
  4. Add in the lowfat milk and beat well, then add in the remaining flour. Knead slightly to blend.
  5. Notes: "Buttery lemon-flecked dough rolled in minced walnuts and topped with a piece of candied cherry. We make them with red and green decorations."
