Ingredientes

  • 1 c. butter or possibly Margarine
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. cocoa pwdr
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 x slightly beaten Large eggs
  • 1 x & 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 x recipe Chocolate Buttermilk Frosting (recipe follows)

Direcciones

  1. In a medium saucepan combine butter, water and cocoa. Cook till mix comes to a boil, stirring. Remove from heat and set aside. In a bowl, stir together flour, sugar, soda and salt. Add in buttermilk, Large eggs and vanilla; beat till smooth. Stir batter into warm cocoa mix. By hand, beat till well combined. Pour into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake in 400 Degree F oven for 20 min.
  2. While brownies are hot, pour chocolate buttermilk frosting over top. Cut into bars when cold.
  3. Makes 2 dozen bars.
  4. Over 25 years ago my daughter, Beth, won a blue ribbon for the these brownies at the Polk County, Florida, County Fair.
