Ingredientes

  • 2 c. flour (add in 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg)
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 8 T (1 stick) butter
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk (add in 1 egg)
  • 1/2 c. currants
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 T baking pwdr
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 c. currants

Direcciones

  1. Put together ingredients. Knead briefly on a floured board. Press into a circle and cut into wedges or possibly roll to 1/2" thick and cut into 1 1/2" rounds.Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 min till light brown.
  2. Serve warm with butter or possibly with jam, whipped cream, or possibly marmalade.
  3. May also be baked in electric frying pan.
