- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon ground red “cayenne” pepper (optional)
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt, more to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Garnish: Extra virgin olive oil and sweet paprika
- Serve with: pita chips, homemade bread, and olives
