Cafe Annie's Pickled Jalapeno Salsa

Ingredientes

  • 6 x To 12 fresh jalapenos, stems removed
  • 12 x Tomatillos, husks removed
  • 1/2 x White onion, minced
  • 2 x Cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 c. White wine vinegar
  • 2/3 c. Water
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 bn Cilantro, minced (about 1 c.)

Direcciones

  1. Combine all the ingredients except cilantro in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Cover, lover the heat, and simmer for about 10 min or possibly till the tomatillos are soft. Remove from the heat and allow to cold. Transfer the cooled ingredients and the liquid to a blender. Add in the cilantro, and puree till smooth and uniformly green. Chill.
  3. Makes about two c..
  4. Serve cool or possibly at room temperature. It's wonderful served with grilled meats....a pork chop, for example. It's also very nice mixed with some yogurt to toss with warm pasta for a low-fat quick dinner. And stir some into some soup; it will perk up almost anything without being overwhelming.
