Their%20girls%20are%20good...However,%20watching%20Lifetime's%20weekly%20version%20of%20Dance%20Moms,%20I%20can%20honestly%20and%20thankfully%20say%20my%20life%20is%20nothing%20like%20theirs.%20%20Spending%20my%20weekends%20with%20my%20own%20group%20of%20Dance%20Moms,%20we%20have%20none%20of%20the%20back%20stabbing,%20no%20yelling%20and%20arguing,%20and%20nothing%20but%20pure%20support%20and%20encouragement.%20%20These%20moms%20have%20become%20some%20of%20my%20best%20friends,%20just%20as%20the%20girls%20on%20the%20team%20have%20become%20some%20of%20Liv's%20best%20friends.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat%20being%20said,%20we%20are%20competitive,%20and%20given%20the%20chance%20to%20dance%20against%20Abbie%20Lee's%20talented%20team,%20we%20knew%20this%20was%20an%20opportunity%20not%20to%20be%20missed.%20%20Taking%20our%20National%20Champion%20team%20to%20Hollywood's%20In10sity%20dance%20competition%20to%20meet%20up%20against%20Chloe,%20Brooke,%20Paige,%20Nia,%20Maddie,%20Kendall,%20and%20Mackenzie,%20was%20an%20afternoon%20filled%20with%20pure%20fun%20and%20competition.%20%20While%20we%20didn't%20have%20a%20chance%20to%20compete%20against%20the%20little%20girls,%20our%20team%20did%20compete%20with%20Brooke%20and%20the%20group%20number.California%20girls%20might%20be%20better...While%20I%20will%20admit%20to%20being%20a%20tad%20envious%20of%20the%20private%20dressing%20rooms%20the%20Dance%20Mom%20girls%20had%20access%20to,%20we%20managed%20just%20fine%20in%20our%20own%20crowded%20room%20under%20the%20stage.%20%20The%20girls,%20theirs%20and%20ours,%20all%20danced%20beautifully,%20and%20everyone%20had%20a%20good%20time%20meeting%20the%20tv%20girls%20and%20moms.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPersonally,%20I%20didn't%20have%20much%20of%20a%20chance%20to%20speak%20to%20them,%20however%20I%20did%20bump%20into%20Dance%20Mom%20Holly%20in%20the%20hallway%20and%20she%20was%20nothing%20but%20happy%20and%20extraordinarily%20friendly.%20%20Christi%20and%20Kelly%20on%20the%20other%20hand,%20literally%20turned%20their%20heads%20and%20wouldn't%20even%20make%20eye%20contact%20while%20walking%20by.%20%20Understandable,%20I%20guess,%20as%20they%20are%20probably%20tired%20of%20making%20small%20talk%20with%20other%20moms.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20they%20sat%20in%20the%20audience,%20the%20moms%20appeared%20to%20be%20good%20friends,%20and%20with%20the%20addition%20of%20Jill,%20who%20has%20recently%20returned%20from%20the%20Candy%20Apples%20Studio,%20I%20was%20eager%20to%20see%20their%20interactions.%20%20On%20tv%20they%20are%20portrayed%20as%20frequently%20arguing%20and%20bickering,%20however,%20here%20in%20the%20audience%20we%20didn't%20witness%20a%20single%20argumentative%20moment,%20and%20Jill%20seemed%20to%20be%20a%20welcomed%20part%20of%20the%20group.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDance%20Mom%20Jill%20takes%20the%20stage%20during%20the%20Parent%20Dance%20DownSeeing%20Jill%20on%20tv,%20my%20perception%20of%20her%20was%20not%20a%20super%20positive%20one,%20but%20after%20watching%20her%20interact%20with%20the%20other%20moms%20and%20then%20participate%20in%20a%20Parent%20Dance%20Down,%20she's%20quickly%20becoming%20one%20of%20my%20favorites.%20%20She%20glowed%20onstage%20as%20she%20danced,%20cartwheeled%20and%20radiated%20pure%20fun,%20seeming%20to%20really%20have%20a%20good%20time%20while%20some%20of%20the%20other%20moms%20seemed%20to%20be%20more%20inhibited%20and%20not%20really%20happy%20to%20be%20up%20there.%20%20Admittedly,%20you%20won't%20ever%20find%20me%20up%20there%20either.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETomorrow's%20episode%20(9/4/12)%20of%20Dance%20Moms%20is%20this%20competition,%20so%20I%20won't%20give%20away%20the%20details.%20%20But,%20just%20know%20that%20when%20Abbie%20Lee%20talked%20last%20week%20about%20going%20to%20Hollywood%20and%20the%20quality%20of%20%22those%20girls%20in%20California%22%20and%20how%20talented%20they%20are,%20she%20was%20talking%20about%20us...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECalifornia%20Corn%20Salad%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKeeping%20Liv%20and%20the%20girls%20on%20our%20team%20fed%20and%20energized%20takes%20work.%20%20Filling%20our%20coolers%20with%20healthy%20snacks%20keeps%20them%20focused%20and%20their%20bodies%20fueled.%20%20This%20easy%20salad,%20frequently%20found%20in%20my%20cooler,%20provides%20protein%20from%20the%20beans,%20vitamins%20and%20minerals%20from%20the%20tomatoes%20and%20avocados,%20carbs%20and%20a%20little%20natural%20sugar%20from%20the%20corn,%20and%20pure%20flavor%20from%20the%20lime%20and%20olive%20oil%20dressing.%20%20Pack%20it%20over%20ice%20and%20it's%20sure%20to%20receive%20a%20Platinum%20Award.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrill%20corn,%20or%20alternatively%20use%20thawed,%20frozen%20corn.%20%20Cut%20corn%20from%20the%20cob,%20and%20add%20to%20a%20medium%20mixing%20bowl.%20%20Add%20the%20remaining%20ingredients,%20taste%20and%20adjust.%20%20Use%20the%20lime%20and%20oil%20measurements%20as%20a%20starting%20point%20and%20tweak%20to%20your%20taste%20(I%20frequently%20find%20myself%20adding%20a%20bit%20more%20lime).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChill,%20and%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
