%20and%20have%20saved%20the%20recipe%20into%20my%20google%20drive%20some%20time%20ago!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecently,%20I've%20got%20a%20big%20pack%20of%20sliced%20almonds%20from%20a%20good%20friend%20of%20mine,%20I%20then%20came%20up%20with%20an%20idea%20of%20how%20to%20use%20them%20up,%20so%20it's%20time%20to%20make%20these%20yummy%20bars..:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20recipe%20(%20this%20is%20my%20own%20version%20that%20is%20adapted%20from%20the%20original%20I've%20got%20)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20the%20base%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20350%20F%20and%20line%20an%208x8-inch%20baking%20pan%20with%20parchment%20paper,%20leaving%20a%202-inch%20over%20hang%20at%20each%20end.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFirst%20get%20started%20on%20the%20caramelized%20white%20chocolate%20by%20heating%20the%20cream%20in%20a%20small%20saucepan%20just%20until%20it%20comes%20to%20a%20boil.%20Remove%20from%20heat,%20add%20white%20chocolate%20and%20let%20stand%20a%20few%20minutes%20before%20stirring%20until%20melted%20and%20smooth.%20Place%20pan%20back%20over%20the%20heat%20and%20bring%20the%20mixture%20to%20a%20boil,%20reduce%20heat%20and%20simmer%20for%205%20minutes%20while%20stirring%20constantly.%20Set%20aside%20to%20cool%20while%20you%20make%20the%20base.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20bowl,%20mix%20together%20oats,%20coconut,%20flour,%20brown%20sugar,%20baking%20soda%20and%20salt%20until%20evenly%20combined.%20In%20a%20small%20saucepan%20over%20low%20heat,%20melt%20together%20butter%20with%20vanilla%20extract%20and%20then%20pour%20over%20dry%20ingredients.%20Stir%20it%20all%20together%20with%20a%20fork%20until%20evenly%20blended%20and%20then%20turn%20it%20out%20into%20prepared%20pan.%20Press%20the%20mixture%20firmly%20and%20evenly%20into%20the%20base%20of%20pan%20and%20bake%20at%20350%20degrees%20F%20until%20golden,%20about%208-10%20minutes.%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20let%20cool%20for%20a%20minute.%20Reduce%20oven%20temperature%20to%20325%20degrees%20F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20white%20chocolate%20mixture%20over%20oat%20base%20and%20then%20sprinkle%20the%20almonds%20evenly%20over%20the%20top,%20then%20press%20the%20almonds%20down%20into%20the%20chocolate%20mixture%20lightly%20.%20Bake%20for%20about%2015%20minutes%20longer,%20or%20until%20golden%20on%20top.%20The%20white%20chocolate%20mixture%20will%20be%20bubbling%20and%20caramelized%20around%20the%20edges.%20Transfer%20to%20a%20wire%20rack%20and%20let%20cool%20completely%20before%20slicing%20into%20bars.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
